Our first two chicks of the season have hatched at Papakanui, on the west coast.
Wild weather at all sites - protective walls and dunes were breached at Pakiri and Waipu - but nest and birds all survived.
Rangers kept busy tracking and trapping pests.
Waipu has the newest nest, Pakiri and Mangawhai still waiting - but plenty FT activity - so it could be any moment.....
