The two chicks at Waipu are flying well and have been exploring the area more widely and have even been seen practising foraging. Hopefully like all of us they will have hunkered down until the storm has passed by.
The chicks in the aviary were put in a more confined area to help protect them from Cyclone Gabriella. They are still gobbling up all the fish being provided for them so thanks to everyone who has been helping.
